A powerful automatic email filtering system protects UNIGE users by preventing numerous viruses and spam messages (which account for 95% of all emails!) from ever reaching your inbox.

This includes thousands of messages containing viruses, which are automatically detected and destroyed, and hundreds of thousands of spam messages every day.

By default, the system flags and quarantines messages that it suspects to be spam. Users receive daily reports about these messages.

Users have some control over how these messages are dealt with. For example, they can release misidentified messages from quarantine, add senders to their whitelist to prevent them from being marked as spam in future, and blacklist other senders that should always be blocked.
